Clinical trials of Soma drugs
Efficacy and safety of generic Soma with painful muscle spasm was assessed in 110 patients aged 20 to 75 years in double-blind, placebo-controlled study. In the eight research centers, patients were randomized receiving Soma dose of 300mg/day or placebo in combination with physical therapy and rehabilitation for 21 days.
As the main criterion for the effectiveness of treatment is selected pressure pain threshold measured with a special device (Pressure Tolerance Meter) in the 16 symmetry points of the trunk and extremities. Patients subjectively rated their condition on pain intensity, a sense of treatment, muscle tension and mobility of the spine by 4 degrees of severity: none, slight, moderate and severe.
