Today, effective drug treatment of schizophrenia is possible with the use of only one drug, carefully chosen in the required dosages, excluding adverse effects, implying a relatively low cost of treatment, rather than multiple drugs, which have only plenty of side effects.
Preferred atypical antipsychotics, like generic Zyprexa, with a minimal number of side effects and which can affect almost all the symptoms of schizophrenia (productive, negative and neurocognitive deficits). Atypical antipsychotics are presented at the market by: azaleptin (leponex), respiridone, olanzepin (Zyprexa), kventiapin (Seroquel), amisulpirid (solian).
